Clients must independently complete California’s legal and medical MAID process through licensed clinicians and remain responsible for property permission, medical and hospice coordination, medication management and self-administration, required documentation, emergency planning, and after-death or mortuary arrangements. Any experience must occur in a lawful, pre-approved private setting. A person should not be transported or moved after ingesting MAID medication.
